My target client is small to medium size businesses, agencies and startups.

 

A large percentage of my clients are agencies that are in need of a digital project manager to aid in the devel- opment of medium to small-size websites. I take an active role in project proposals, client communications and development planning as well as management.

 

The other side of my freelance work is working with local businesses to develop and maintain their websites.

Building Digital Excellence

Westside Recreation Centre

CMS: WordPress

Design: Custom

 

Challenge: The client’s existing site, developed with Drupal 7, was approaching the end of its support lifecycle. The client sought to revitalize the website with a modern aesthetic and enhance the user interface to ensure seamless navigation for visitors.

 

Solution: My approach with this client began with developing a custom design for the homepage and a comprehensive style tile. Upon approval, I proceeded to build the website using WordPress. Additionally, I contracted a videographer to capture videos of the recreation center, which were strategically integrated throughout the site to enhance user engagement and accurately represent their facilities.

Dawn Gordon Trucking & Warehousing

Challenge: The client, a family-owned business, desired a website with a welcoming and homely feel. They wished to avoid stock photography and preferred not to incur the expense of a professional photo shoot.

 

Solution: I developed a WordPress website utilizing the client’s existing photo library and personally took their headshots along with several supplementary photos. I crafted a clean and cohesive layout that effectively represented their brand and seamlessly integrated their images. To enhance the homey atmosphere, I included their pets in the headshots, assigning them playful job titles.

Challenge: The client wanted a new website that incorporated their brand and represented where the company is currently and their asperations for the future. 

 

Solution: My approach with this client began with creating a custom design for the homepage. Following approval, I built the website using WordPress, seamlessly integrating their existing brand. To accommodate future growth, I strategically planned additional sections and pages, encouraging the client to expand their site’s capabilities.

Challenge: Building a brand from a client’s vision.

 

Solution: Various branding exercises were conducted to transform the client’s ideas into a coherent and tangible brand. Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop were utilized to create the final brand lockup and style guidelines.. 

Dawn Gordon Trucking & Warehousing

Challenge: The client wanted a brand rejuvenation. They requested a brand that represented Canada and had a retro feel.

 

Solution: Extensive research was conducted to identify the client’s preferred brands. With a comprehensive understanding of their preferences, I seamlessly integrated elements from their favored brands into their new brand identity.

Lewis Furniture and Fabrication

Challenge: The client came to me with an idea but needed it generated. 

 

Solution: Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop were utilized to create the final brand lockup.
